Maurice Lacroix Watch Choice of Kiteboarders
Kiteboarding is a hot aquatic sport that bears certain resemblance with surfing. What differentiates it from surfing is that it requires a large kite that pulls the athlete across the water. And it is much more dangerous than surfing. Nowadays, this sport rises quickly and begins to show its influence. e The Bering Strait Expedition that involved this sport, for example, attracted the sponsor from Maurice Larcroix, a renown Swiss luxury watch maker. Two athletes, Geza Scholtz and Troy Henkels, were the heros of the Expedition. They tried to make some new world records through kiteboarding across the Bering Strait. The Expedition started in July. And I guess Maurice Larcroix will cooperate with kiteboarders in near future, and that will make Maurice Larcroix choice of kiteboarders.
The watch Maurice Lacroix used to equip the above mentioned two kiteboarders is the Chronograph Rectangulaire Full Black watch which is one of their watch offerings for 2010. Though not had a serious sporty feel , it mached their outfit very well. And the Expedition was also a good test for the watch, checking if it can stand up the water, wind and potential shock. And the Maurice Lacroix Chronograph Rectangulaire Full Black watch proved to be a perfect tell-telling accessory for the kiteboarders.
The Maurice Lacroix watch comes with a black ceramic coated steel case and a cool black rubber strap. Sized at just at 38mm, the watch houses a Swiss ETA 7750 chronograph automatic movement. To be honest, this watch is not my first choice from this brand, but it get my respect since it proved itself in the Expedition.
